Joda Bookkeeping and Accountancy Services are an Agent for Payroll Services having received training and qualifications through the ICB to carry out this work and obtained the necessary approval of Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs to file Payroll Submissions on behalf of clients.

Surveys tell us that the biggest administrative burden and stress for any small/medium company is Payroll, it takes longer than they expect, requires more staff than they would like and is fraught with issues if there are mistakes, never mind the constant risk of data breaches and breach of confidentiality.

We can provide services for companies of any size, even those with just a single employee.

We can offer this service either alongside our other services or as a complete stand alone service.

Our price will be based on the number of employees and frequency of pay (e.g. Weekly or Monthly) and we will typically quote a 'price per payslip' which is fixed and guaranteed for a minimum of 6 months.

We are familiar with all aspects of Payroll and our price will include:
  • Auto Enrolment, all aspects of compliance and enrolling staff
  • Other Workplace Pensions.
  • Setting up new employees, from information forms completed by them, requesting correct codes from HMRC.
  • Minimum Wage Legislation (in all it's forms).
  • Dealing direct with Employees on Payroll Queries
    (if you wish us to)
  • Tax Coding
  • Directors Pay & Dividends
  • All Statutory Payments SSP/SMP/SPP/SAP etc
  • Ensuring use of correct NI Codes
  • Keeping records of sickness and holidays
  • Managing Holiday Request according to your policies (again, if this is required)
  • Submissions to HMRC: FPS/EPS/EYU/P32
  • Payroll Journals, provided to your accounts staff if this is a separate service.
  • Easy and clear details of payments to be made to whom and by when.
  • CIS Payments and all associated checks/paperwork
  • Provision of Payslips and P60's in the format require.
Payslip Options available include:
  • Individual Secure Inbox (not e-mail) for Payslips to be delivered for your Employees to access their own payslips/P60's when they wish using either a Web Browser or a Phone App, this is the usual preferred route for employers as it is the most cost effective, secure and reliable option and we will take responsibility for ensuring it runs smoothly with no burden to you.
  • Batch Payslips, in PDF format, uploaded to a secure on-line storage folder for your authorised individual to access, check and print/distribute according to your own procedures. 
  • Individual Payslips prepared and sent either to the Head office, or any number of work places, for distribution to Employees or direct to Employees homes by Royal Mail (We usually use plain paper payslips in an envelope but can provide secure payslips for an additional cost).
All online portals and printed paper documents would come as standard with our logo and branding but it is possible to switch the printed payslips and the individuals portal for your own logo, the only one we are unable to switch is the logon screen.

We have entered into a partnership with an exciting and innovative UK based Payroll software provider who, like us, specialises in providing bespoke services to companies of all sizes, from a single employee to a 1000 employees plus.

Our Software can generate and handle Bacs Files - if you use this system to pay your staff you can continue doing so.

We will draw up an agreement which both parties will need to sign and agree before any work is undertaken to so that everyone is clear on what is expected and what we will do/provide etc.

Additionally, we are bound by the UK Money Laundering Regulations (MLR) to undertake identity checks on relevant parties before undertaking any commitment to you.
